CONSULTANTS IN GOOD STANDING

To be listed as a "Consultant in Good Standing," Consultants must fulfill two conditions. (1) They must be dues-paying members of the Robert S. Hartman Institute, and (2) they must pay royalties to the Institute for using the Hartman Value Profile or some Parallel Form of it. Relevant details are:
1. Membership dues and royalties for using the HVP for the previous year must be paid in January in each year. If your royalties for using some version of the HVP are being paid by a DISTRIBUTOR, you must notify the Treasurer, Darlene Clark, at the time that you pay your annual dues in January.
2. Any Member or Consultant who has not paid dues and royalties by March 31 each year will be removed from our "Membership Directory" and "Consultants in Good Standing" pages on April 1 each year. They may be reinstated when they pay up.
3. Each person listed on our "Consultants in Good Standing" page must pay a minimum royalty of $25.00 per year, or have it paid for them by a Distributor, and so indicate to theTreasurer, Darlene Clark, in January of each year.
4. All address and contact information changes and corrections should be sent to our Treasurer, Darlene Clark, at: Darlene@darleneclark.com.
Professional and Ethical Rules for Consultants in Good Standing
Consultants in Good Standing should:
1. Be aware of, support, and maintain respect for the history, purpose, and mission of the Robert S. Hartman Institute. This includes respectfulness and professionalism whenever representing and applying the science of formal axiology and toward its professional society, the Robert S. Hartman Institute.
2. Maintain professional courtesy in dealing with everyone involved in axiological and behavioral testing, including the Officers of the Robert S. Hartman Institute, its Consultants in Good Standing, Distributors, and Members.
3. Respect lawful authority and abide by contractual agreements with the Robert S. Hartman Institute, its polcies, and its ethical principles.
4. Treat all persons with fairness at all times and places, and always strive to show empathy and respect for human dignity and the intrinsic worth and individuality of all persons, and be open and respectful toward everyone who desires to enter into conversations about the new science of axiology.
5. Strive to be diligent, fair, and accurate in accounting and in paying dues and royalties owed to the Robert S. Hartman Institute.
6. Be willing to share research and development information concerning the Hartman Value Profile, Parallel Forms of the HVP, and HVP Derivatives with the Robert S. Hartman Institute, under mutually agreeable conditions that can lead to building a data bank at the Institute for the benefit of all.
7. Tell others about the Robert S. Hartman Institute and encourage friends and associates to become Institute members and attend Institute workshops and annual conferences.
In December, 2007, because of numerous complaints our Board of Directors added the two following ethical policies.
8. Solicitation policy: The Hartman Institute regards it as unethical to directly contact and solicit already-affiliated Consultants to try to persuade them to re-affiliate with a different distributor or group of Consultants. However, we also recognize that some Consultants may wish to be contacted for such purposes. If you do, please let the Secretary (Rem B. Edwards) know, and "Will accept contacts from other distributors" will be added to your listings on our website. Otherwise, it is unethical to use the names, addresses, or other contact information given below to try to persuade other Consultants to re-affiliate with you and your organization. However, if they approach you first on their own initiative, you may then follow through with them as you see fit.
9. Endorsement policy: We also consider it unethical and inaccurate to promote your own products, instruments, interpretations, and systems as officially endorsed by the Hartman Institute. The only instrument officially endorsed by the Robert S. Hartman Institute is the unaltered Standard Version of the Hartman Value Profile, as given on the “Hartman Value Profile” page of our website, and we do not officially endorse any particular interpretation of that. Parallel forms that are approved but not endorsed by the Institute will be found on the “Parallel Forms” page of our website.
