The following is an agreement between ______________________________________(name),
hereafter referred to as “the Author” and the Journal of Formal Axiology: Theory and Practice,
hereafter referred to as “the Journal.” This agreement governs

hereafter referred to as “article.”

1. The Author hereby assigns to the Journal of Formal Axiology: Theory and Practice the copyright to the above article, whereby the Journal shall have the exclusive right to publish it in the English language throughout the world, including renewals, extensions, and all subsidiary rights.

2. The Author guarantees that the article is original, has not been published previously (except possibly in self-publishing), is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, is not defamatory, libelous, or otherwise unlawful under the laws of the United States of America, and that any necessary permissions to quote or paraphrase from another source have been obtained in writing. Copies of the permission to quote correspondence must be submitted to the Editor along with this Contract.

3. The Author shall, without limitation, have the right to use, reproduce, distribute, update, create derivatives, and make copies of the work (electronically or in print) in connection with the Author’s teaching, conference presentations, lectures, or other scholarly works and professional activities, provided that the Author give full bibliographical credit to the Journal of Formal Axiology: Theory and Practice as its original publication source. The Author may use the article, as above, without obtaining permission from an Editor of the Journal. Permission of the Journal is not required if the article is to be published later elsewhere, but the Journal must be cited as the original source of publication, and the republication details should be sent to its Editor. The author will receive one free copy of the issue in which his or her article is published.
