 European Branch Formed:

We are happy to announce that in addition to our Iberoamerican Branch, the Board of Directors also voted to form a European Branch of the Hartman Institute, with Dr. Uli Vogel at its helm. Dr. Uli has been conducting a membership drive and just informed us that the European Branch has 12 new members to date.

May his Spirit Soar!

We were notified of the passing of Mario Cardenas Trigos by his nephew, Enrique, a few weeks ago. Dr. Trigos worked with Dr. Hartman on the original Hartman Value Inventory. It would seem appropriate to have an article about him and his contributions to Hartman's thought and to the Hartman Value Profile as a sort of memoriam in the next issue of the Journal. Several of our board members knew him and/or worked with him. Hopefully, several of you would be willing to write or contribute to a memoriam?

Congratulations to Cliff!

Board member Cliff Hurst has completed all requirements for his Ph.D., including his orals, which he passed with flying colors. Congratulations Dr. Cliff!

A Note on Last Year's Conference...

This was election year for the Board of Directors, and the change in Officers is as follows: K.T. Connor, President; Dr. David Mefford, Vice-President and Program Chair; Darlene Clark, Treasurer; and Vera Mefford, Secretary. We all shared a wonderful time at our conference in October, 2011, with many new attendees and terrific presentations by all who gave them. We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Uli Vogel from Germany, Malcolm North from Austria, Marcos Gojman, Gilberto Carrasco, Elsa Ortiz, and Lino Teja from Mexico, as well as participants from all over the US & Canada. We felt a special sense of teamwork and bonding that we are certain will be even stronger at this year's conference! Hope to see all of you there!

Meanwhile, please feel free to contact me with any news you may want included in our next newsletter.

Wishing all of you a warm and happy entry into Spring...

PRESIDENT'S GREETING

WWHD?  In these days where chaos and divisiveness seem to appear too frequently, "What would Hartman Do?"  How might he address the times?

The Institute calls us together to envision how we can "Change the World for the Better."  We feel by exploring, refining and enhancing Hartman's legacy, we all can make a difference.  Our Strategic Map points us in that direction.  Celebrating the power of our combined differences and the richness of each individual, it seems only fitting that we seek to spread his spirit through peace building and making his work more available and more impactful.

Please review our strategy on the website (http://hartmaninstitute.org/ ).  Just scroll down the sidebar to download your own copy.

Most importantly, we welcome your involvement as we move our strategy forward.  If there is an area on the Strategic Map that provokes your interest, please contact me (ktconnor@thinkingpattern.com ).  If you have queries regarding the applications of the Hartman Value Profile, contact anyone on our Axiological Service Providers list (http://hartmaninstitute.org/AxiologicalServiceProviders.aspx).  If you have comments regarding the Newsletter, contact Vera Mefford, our Editor(veraax@aol.com).  If you have queries regarding anything else on the website, contact Rem Edwards (remb1@comcast.net) and he will respond himself or route the email to the proper resource.  Please stay in touch with us!

Warmest wishes for a wonderful, hope-filled Spring,

K.T. Connor, President
