The Robert S. Harman Institute Elects New Board Members

Knoxville, TN – November 15, 2023

The Robert S. Hartman Institute is pleased to announce their newly elected Board of Directors. The interim Co-Presidents of the Board, Marit Höppner & Edward Korbal pass the baton to Jonathan Ciampi, CEO at Bright Heart Health. Edward Korbal will take on the role of Secretary. One of the newly elected members, Michael Patton, who might be known to some of the members from working with the brilliant team to prepare our Annual Conference in Atlanta, will be assuming the role of Treasurer. We are also proud to have Jeffrey Huang and Peter Demarest join us as Directors at Large.

"It has been a pleasure to serve as co-president with Edward and to have the opportunity to work with so many talented people," said Marit Höpper. "Over the past year, we have made significant progress towards our goals. I especially want to thank Robert Calabrese, Doug McRae, and Rick Bowers for their contributions. Additionally, I want to thank all the applicants to the board. Edward and I are excited to participate in new and exciting positions within the Institute."

"It was an honor to serve as co-president, and I am proud of our accomplishments. Most recently, we successfully held the 47th annual conference in Atlanta. The event marked the first in-person conference since 2019. I want to personally thank everyone involved in the event planning. Moreover, I am excited to see so many individuals engaged in Hartman's work," said Edward Korbal, outgoing co-president.

"I am excited to be part of the team and follow in the footsteps of so many talented leaders. Hartman envisioned a future that is still far off, but he provided the tools and theory to guide our efforts. I look forward to collaborating with the other amazing board members to get us closer to Hartman's vision,” said Jon Ciampi, “One of our first efforts as a team was to update our mission and vision, which we’re excited to share with you.”
